Gold PVD Finish

A heavy duty cane bolt for fixing one side of a double gate or door opening.  It can also be used as a heavy duty horizontal slide bolt, or to bolt the top of a door to the head jamb.  The purchase of additional pieces allow the basic kit to be configured to accommodate a variety of installations including a lockable engaged and a lockable disengaged configuration.  The spring kit adds functionality to door top installations in that the cane will remain engaged unless retracted and hooked on the combination hanger/guide bracket.

• Standard configurations allow for a minimum of 2" of engagement

• The cane has a tapered end to facilitate engagement in the adjacent surface

• Each kit includes stainless steel fasteners with a matching finish and a stainless steel roll pin

• A hole for the roll pin is positioned to prevent the cane from being withdrawn from the lower bracket during normal operation and also from being easily removed altogether

• Parts are de-burred with the edges eased and have a uniform quality look and feel

• Includes installation diagrams for 4 basic configurations

Available in 6 Finishes

• Mill Finish Stainless Steel-  Other than de-burring, the parts are unfinished.

• Matt Stainless Steel-  A uniform dull coarse finish as produced by sandblasting.

• Polished Stainless Steel-  A hand polished chrome like finish.

• Polished Gold PVD-  A polished gold finish.

• Satin White Bronze PVD-  A satin smooth low luster rich light to medium white bronze finish that will darken with touch, time, and environmental elements.

• Satin Black PVD-  A satin smooth low luster rich black finish.

Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) is one of the most durable decorative finishes that is currently available.

The basic kit includes 1 solid Cane, 1 Guide Bracket, and 1 Combination Guide/Hanger Bracket all in matching finish.  Also included is a 3/16" x 3/4" stainless steel roll pin, and 4-  #14 x 1-1/4" stainless steel Phillips pan head tapping screws in matching finish.

The brackets are made from type 304 stainless steel, the cane is type 304HC stainless steel, and the screws are type 18-8 stainless steel. 

Overall cane dimensions are  5/8" x 4-1/4" x 18" & 24".  Brackets are 3.0mm x 1-1/4" in width and project  1-5/8", with the guide bracket measuring 3-3/4" in height, and the combination guide/hanger bracket measuring 4-1/4" in height.

For installations where a more finished look is desired, or for additional security. 

Each strike includes 2-  #14 x 1" stainless steel Phillips flat head tapping screws in matching finish.

The strike plate is made from 3.0mm type 304 stainless steel, and the screws are 18-8 stainless steel alloy. 

Overall strike plate dimensions are  1-1/4" x 4" with a .66" diameter hole.

For installations where the combination guide/hanger bracket is required to act as a locking mechanism, or where additional guide brackets are required for engagement on the adjacent surface.

Each guide bracket includes 2-  #14 x 1-1/4" stainless steel Phillips pan head tapping screws in matching finish.

The guide brackets are made from 3.0mm type 304 stainless steel, and the screws are 18-8 stainless steel alloy. 

Overall guide bracket dimensions are  1-1/4" in width x 3-3/4" in height and protrude 1-5/8" from the surface.

For installations where it is desired to have a spring forcing the cane in the engaged position, such as a bolt at the top of a door.  The spring kit can be configured to provide 2" of engagement, and the cane handle can be hooked so the cane is held in the retracted position.  The kit includes 1- stainless steel compression spring, 1- stainless steel flat washer, 1- 7/8"  stainless steel roll pin, and installation drawing for door top configuration.
