| In order to satisfy the building code many attic
ventilation systems utilize a series of holes
drilled in the soffit blocking (bird blocks) with screen
attached to the back side of the block before installation.
In some instances, due to deterioration and/or lack of
strength of the original material, birds are able to gain
access to the attic area and nest. Our simple solution is to
install corrosion resistant stainless steel screen that
is strong and will stand
up to the elements while maintaining the original appearance. The kit contains precut stainless steel
screen sized for 2", 2-1/8", 2-3/8" or 2-1/2" diameter holes* that are 1-1/2" in depth, cleaning and installation tools, sealant
applicator sticks and step by step detailed instructions to
install the new stainless steel screens from the outside of
your home.
You will need a safe way to access and install the screens in the bird blocks, Vulkem 116 Polyurethane Sealant (see below), caulking gun, and a hammer.
